Stall hay feeder12/8/2023 ![]() ![]() The net is really easy to fill I just drape it open over a clean muck bucket, and fill it with about 2 large flakes of grass hay. He has been on free choice hay, but I think from now on I’ll be using these nets instead. He absolutely loves this net, and it takes him a good 4 hours of picking to empty it out. Sometimes have issues tying them while camping so we've started using carabiner clips might not suggest in a stall but while camping very simple and easy to hook/unhook a full haybag.Ĭomments: I loved these nets so much the day they arrived, I ordered four more! They are convenient, effective and an inexpensive way to free-feed.Ĭomments: I purchased this for my horse that was put on stall rest for an injury. I used one all winter and just bought another one so I can have 2 while camping. I have bought many of these!Ĭomments: Great hay net, easy to use and the large ones can hold quite a bit of hay. Best suited for trailer or stall.Ĭomments: I can't have enough of these - having 2 very easy-keepers makes these a necessity in my barn - they actually enjoy eating out of them and choose this method over hay on the ground (I feed with these and on the ground so they go back and forth).įrom: Sherri - Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USAĬomments: Best value in a slow feeder hay net - reasonably durable and do what they're supposed to. Nice soft nets, but large is super small- will only hold a couple flakes. Recommend finding where it first attaches together and putting a couple knots in before hanging. One continuous string that is bonded together. String came undone but easily put back in and knotted ends. ![]() Material is nice and soft and colors are nice too, as pictured. Decided to use in stalls instead of field. Disappointed in the sizing as other reviews mentioned. These are 'disposable".Ĭomments: Bought 2 large nets. :-) I appreciate RW for offering both cheap ones and super nice hay nets. If you want the best then don't buy these, get a good one and pay for it. They are cheap and probably won't last as long as the other quality ones RW sells. I have purchased several of them and they hold up great! My horses eat slower and they hold quite a bit of hay!Ĭomments: I ordered 5 of them and only one was the large size the other 4 look to be the small size. I will definitely buy these again!Ĭomments:I love these nibble nets. I would love them even more if the holes were smaller, because it doesn't really slow him down with the current size holes, just keeps him a tad more busy and the food off of the floor. My horse already tore a hole in the other one this company makes. These nets are a great value, and if they ever break, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase more since they are so affordable.įrom: Jacquelyn - Santa Maria, California, USAĬomments: This is the best net for the price. ![]() I would love to see smaller hole sizes offered in the future. I've only had them for a couple weeks, but so far my horses have been doing very well and the nets are still in perfect shape. They are both very large and I can fit six flakes in them off of my three-string bales. Love the hay nets but will be looking for something else that slows them down.Ĭomments: I purchased two of these nets in different colors. I'm not sure if the mesh stretched or if I'm measuring wrong, but the holes are a good four inches. I do like it, but I'm not sure how long this will last.Ĭomments: These are very durable and a great size, but they don't work as "slow" feeders for my hoover of a mustang. It can be hard to find it and reweave it through all the loops. I agree with the other reviews in that the drawstring should be a different color. But she bit through and cut in half one of the strings in the first few days. Probably extended her feeding time by a few hours, which was great. Comments: It slowed my horse down while feeding. ![]()
